A Late Easter Tablescape

 Hello, Dear Ones! Well, I'm late in sharing my Easter table. We attended the early service for Easter at our church and had invited some friends to come over for lunch. We got home in time for me to heat everything up - ham and all the goodies that go with it!

Let me share my table...

I am so blessed, y'all! My neighbor was cleaning out her linen closet and just happened upon a couple of tablecloths she didn't use. So...she thought of me! How marvelous and this beautiful white tablecloth is one she gave me! Just perfect for my Easter table.

I used my Blue Garland dishes with a Cadberry egg on each plate, of course.

Battenburg lace napkins in sparkly napkin rings.

My centerpiece was fun to put together.

I used a low rectangle piece of Milk Glass and put a little bunny in the center.

Then I poked in Spring blooms and some greenery and I was a happy chick. Or should I say a happy bunny? Just so you know, the big glass bowl at the end of the table was for my salad, just sayin'.

I sprinkled some Hershey's milk chocolate Easter eggs in the center of the table and a few more bunny. In my glass bunnies with lids, I placed a colored Easter egg in their bellies!

Unfortunately the pretty didn't last long. You know how that goes.

Cockadoodledoo Table

 Hello, Dear Ones! Welcome to my Cockadoodledoo Tablescape this morning!

It's still a little chilly outside so I thought I would set my breakfast room table for a yummy cozy breakfast. It's just Mr. Precious and me so just a table for two.

If you know me, I'm rather a Rooster kind of gal and so that's the theme for my table.

I grabbed this handsome Rooster whom I've had a very long time.

See? He's adorable!

Then I grabbed this little tiered stand and poked in some fruit. Perfect for breakfast, don't you think?

Fruit and Roos! What could be better!! Well, don't try to eat the fruit - it's faux!!

Now down to the nitty gritty of why I wanted my table filled with Roosters.

I was out thrifting the other day and stumbled upon these darling plates! They are vintage and are called Sunrise Rooster by Century Stoneware. Y'all, I found eight dinner plates for $2 each!!!

Here's a closer look - aren't they just wonderful? There were no other pieces but that's okay, I'll be on the lookout for more pieces.

Continuing on with my Cockadoodledoo theme are these precious little Rooster napkin rings or maybe they're chicks, that were gifted to me by a blogging friend who doesn't blog any more. Blog friends are just so nice, aren't they?

I just happened to have this Rooster fabric but can't remember where I got it. I think it was a precut piece from Walmart. But the thing is - Roosters! So I got busy and made eight napkins, using only two on my table this morning. The pattern and colors are just perfect, don't you think?

I have a collection of Fostoria that was passed on to me from my Aunt Alma and here are a couple of the glasses. We can have either orange juice or water in them this morning.

See that dark blue mug? Guess what? It's a Le Creuset! Did you know they make dishes along with their pots? Mr. Precious gave me this dark blue set of dishes for Christmas! I didn't know they made dishes too!

I poked down some very olden silverware with an old fashioned pattern. Did I mention my tablecloth is an old cream colored Battenburg lace? Don't you love the old fashioned look of it?

I have quite a few little Roostery pieces that work well on my table.

When I was out thrifting, I found this darling covered butter dish. Don't you just love her!!!                       She just looks so shy.

Now sit down dear ones. These little salt and peppers were mine when I was a little girl. I used to collect salt and peppers and my mother even bought a special little cabinet for me to put them in as I had so many. I guess I've always been a collector. Anyway, these are at least 60 years or more old! I still love them. My children played with my salt and peppers when they were little and only a few sets survived.

These two little pieces are from the pattern Roosters and Roses, wish I had more. I'm using the egg cup to put some sugar in and the little pitcher can hold the milk.

You know for breakfast you have to have some rolls. Can't beat these yummy croissants and I've poked them in this little pottery bowl from Metlox called Poppy Trail. You know, Roosters! I don't have any more of this pattern either.

The best part of waking up...

A Frilly Little Ladies Luncheon

Hello, Dear Ones! I hosted a frilly little ladies luncheon at my house yesterday and wanted to share my table with you.

Since it was going to be a casual affair I set the table in my Breakfast room.

I do collect Jadeite but I just don't have plates to eat from so the Pioneer Woman came to my rescue with her gorgeous Jadeite pieces! She produces these lovely scalloped edges dishes - dinner plates, salad/desert plates and bowls. Plus she also has sugar, creamer, salt and peppers and a little cookie jar. Do I have any of these? You bet your Jadeite I do and I also have her covered Jadeite cake stand. Okay, this is not a commercial for the Pioneer Woman but I love her Jadeite pieces! Just sayin'.

My dear Aunt Nay passed away many years ago and as I little girl when we would eat at her house she always brought out her Candlewick glassware. I loved them and always felt so special to drink her sweet tea from them. When she passed, my cousin remembered how I loved her Candlewick glasses and he gave them to me. Alas, there are only five glasses left but that's okay. He also threw in, well, he gently passed along a pair of Candlewick candlesticks. What a sweetheart of a cousin I have!

I grabbed these beaded napkin rings and put in some pretty print napkins that are so soft. I found these napkins at Home Goods.

When I took this picture I really didn't have everything on my table. I served chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, kettle chips, sweet pickles and kosher dill pickles. I'm easy. For desert I made from scratch a yummy pound cake, sliced up some strawberries and put a dollop of whipped cream on top! It was all yummy. 

Am I patting myself on the back? A little! :)

Here you can see my strawberries sprinkled with a little bit of sugar so they will be nice and sweet - like me!

In the background you can see the Pioneer Woman's pretty little sugar bowl and creamer. That was for the coffee if they wanted some. You'll notice a pretty set of Jadeite salt and peppers but they aren't part of the Pioneer Woman's Jadeite. I found those in an antique shop but I don't think they are antique. Do I care? No, I do not and you want to know why? They. Are. Jadeite!

Since there were only three of us ladies I used the fourth dining spot for my table focal point. I made a  little floral with my faux flowers and poked them into this darling little homey teapot - a 1930's Porcelier Vitreous China teapot with a hearth scene.Aren't these such beautiful little faux ranunculus and I think they look pretty realistic too!

Well, needless to say, we had a lovely little luncheon and talked and laughed and roasted a few friends in a very loving way! :) We ate and drank peach tea, talked and laughed a little more. Now this was certainly a frilly little ladies luncheon because what guy would want to eat frilly food on frilly plates sitting on frilly doilies?

Christmasing in the Dining Room

 Hello, Dear Ones! I hope your Christmasing is going well! Do you think Christmas came a little early this year? It seems that way to me! Anyway, let's come into my little dining room today.

We recently had a dinner party with eight folks. I only have six chairs with my dining room table so I had to borrow a couple of little ones from the breakfast room.

For my centerpiece I grabbed this piece of Milk Glass and poked in some Christmas looking red roses and a few picks! I put a candle on each side with a little candle ring around each one. I had poked it all down on a red Christmas runner.

Here is my place setting. There are some Christmas dishes I've had for many a year and I paired the dishes up with my Ruby Red glass - little bowls and glasses. I also have some wine glasses but didn't use them this time. Can you see those darling little Christmas tree napkin rings? I poked in some non Christmas napkins, but they're red so I think they work.

Then on my little buffet, I went kinda simple using my white reindeer.

Aren't they sweet? They have little Christmas wreaths that go around their little necks but I didn't use them this year.

I always seem to keep my silverware box here and just use it to decorate on. Again, just simple - a candle and some frosty pears.

I wanted to show you my beautiful Fostoria cake stand I got recently. Oh, I just love this old Fostoria and this piece has been on my wishlist for some time.

Then on top of my curio cabinet I poked down a Christmas red thingy! My Rooster seems to like it!

For my dinner party I served heavy appetizers - and my guests seemed to like it! This is a bunch of friends who get together every month at each others homes so we can pull stuff like that! ;)
