Eastering on the Dining Room Buffet

Hello, Dear Ones! Don't you just love this time of year? It's so exciting to see the new green growth on the trees and the little heads of plants popping up out of the ground. But the most wonderful thing about this time of year - we celebrate our Risen Savior Jesus Christ!

Okay, back to decorating...

Here is the top of my little vintage buffet in my dining room.
And she is all decked out for Easter with blooms and bunnies!
First of all I'll show you my floral in my tureen. I love to use my tureens to make flower arrangements in.
I love my beautiful vintage Fostoria cake stand and of course my tureen had to sit atop of it!
Like I said in an earlier post, these blooms are old. I do try to take care of them and arrange them in tubs according to the season and just go get what I need. Sometimes I'll have six tubs of flowers in the house going back and forth til I find just what I'm looking for. I'm talented like that! :)

On this side everything you see is old. Honey, I mean "OLD"!
This is just the sweetest little dish with little bunnies. See the little tiny bunny on the right scooting through the hole in the log?
Look how precious he is with that little bunny tail! I smile every time I look at it.
This is the other side with a lovely plate my sister-in-law gave me and two more little bunnies - one is a creamer and one a sugar bowl. Their eggs are really a salt and pepper set.
Aren't they sweet all dressed up in flowers and look at those darling little faces.
Okie dokie pokies...hope you've enjoyed seeing my little buffet today.

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                         Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

 Hokey Pokey

You put your one hand in
You put your one hand out
You put your one hand in
And you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
That's what it's all about
You put your one foot in
You put your one foot out
You put your one foot in
And you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
That's what it's all about

Easter in the Entry

Hello Dear Ones! I have a little entry area in my home as you walk in the front door and I love to change out my decor with the seasons. It's Springy Eastery time so here we go...

If you visit me much you know that this buffet is named Little Richard and I gave him and his mirror a paint job when we moved back to Texas. He loves this pretty shade of blue/turquoise with a little bit of gold trim!
For some reason I ended putting one of my silverware boxes here as a lift and it just stayed. It makes a good base for my whatevers. My lamps seem to stay here too as well as the runner. Well, the runner is from the same fabric as the valances over my piano so...

Now you know how I love my Milk Glass and this punch bowl made an appearance at Christmas with  flowers in it so I followed up using it again and poked in lots of spring florals. Needless to say this Milk Glass punch bowl makes a great container for a flower arrangement. I have honestly had some of these flowers for over 25 years! Yes, I have. I keep them in tubs and just go grab what I need and then put them back when I've finished with the arrangements. Do you do that?
Aren't they pretty? Am I bragging on myself? Nah... :)
Of course I love my doilies and I had to use one here and I placed a couple of little eggs at the base. Perfect for me.
Heavy ceramic eggs and I love them.
On either side of my flower arrangement I have bunnies! Of course. This is a trio of little bunnies - Mommy and babies or maybe Daddy, Mommy and baby.
Then on the other side I've places another little trio of bunnies. They are having a grand ole time.
The sun is shining in through the glass front door this morning and everyone is happy and loving the sunshine. Hope you have sunshine at your home today. If not in the weather - hopefully in your heart.

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                        Shelia ;)

The Funny Little Bunny With the Powder Puff Tail

There was a little bunny who lived down the lane
In his hole in an old log rail.
With his little pink nose,
And, his long white ears,
The funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

He woke one morning and his mama said,
"now take this yellow pale
Of easter eggs to the boys and girls."
You funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

But on his way a big bad wolf
Leaped from the side of the trail.

He snapped at the bunny with his long white teeth.
But all he got was a powder puff tail.

Away he ran to the children's house
As fast as he could sail.
And, the big bad wolf was fooled again

By the funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

Now the funny little bunny lives safe and sound
In his home in the hollow rail.
And he sits and he paints on his easter eggs.
The funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

The big bad wolf can't bother him.
He's grown to old and frail.
No longer can he harm our pal.
The funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

So every easter the bunny can go
To the home of the girlies and boys.
He takes them lots of easter eggs
To fill their hearts with easter joys.

Now the funny little bunnies all gather round
To hear him tell the tail,
Of the way he fooled the big bad wolf.
The funny little bunny with the powder puff tail!

Easter On The Finn

Hello, Dear Ones. Today I'd like to show you what I did with The Finn for Easter. Come on in.

Let's get up close.

I used my Mikasa tiered dish and sat it on a glass cake stand and started decorating it.

I just went crazy poking in Springy blooms and then...
Three adorable little bunnies decided they wanted to play hide and seek among the flowers.                  So I let them.
Another small little bunny holding an egg and a sweet bunny ceramic candle holder sit on the right side of the tiered dish.
Since it's Spring, this little family of white birds sit on the left side of the tiered dish. They're pretty happy and sing lovely bird songs all day long.
Now The Finn has a little shelf under the mirror and I placed down a mommy bunny and then added her two baby bunnies. She is having a hard time keeping her babies under control. You know kids these days.
They are all pretty plump as they eat very well.

I'll rest a bit and continue with my Spring and Easter decorating. Hope this finds you all well and eating lots of candy!

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                            Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Lullaby of Spring

Spring has showered frae a drip
Splash and trickle running,
Plant has flowered in the sand
Shell and pebble sunning;
So begins another spring,
Green leaves under berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries
In the misty, tangled sky,
Fast a wind is blowing
In a new born rabbit's heart
River life is flowing
So begins another spring,
Green leaves under berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries
From the dark and wetted soil,
Petals are unfolding
From the stony village "Kirke"
Easter bells of old ring
So begins another spring,
Green leaves under berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries
Spring has flowered frae a drip,
Slash and trickle running
Plant has flowered in the sun
Shell and pebble sunning
So begins another spring
Green leaves under berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries

Easter on the Living Room Mantel

Hello, Dear Ones. Come on into my living room and I'll show you my mantel all decked out for Easter and Spring!

Light and airy and springy and Eastery on my mantel.
I found this lamb's ear garland at Hobby Lobby and bought a couple and placed it on the mantel and then filled in with a little bloomy garland that I've had forever.

I do love my Milk Glass and found another piece and it's called a napkin holder. The shape is the same as a banana holder just smaller. Well, it was perfect to poke a few blooms in. Since it's a smaller piece, I placed it on a little Fostoria glass stand to raise it up. You raise me up...
I love this little bunny, she's so sweet.
How could you not love this little face.
Here is the centerpiece of my mantel. I have had that vase for probably 30 years and doggone it, I dropped it and broke it! I was so upset but I used some E600 and glued back what a could. I figure if I fill it full of blooms you won't see the little chipped place that I couldn't find to glue back. Aren't the little bunnies cute who are holding the vase?
You can't see the chip - yay - since I poked in lots of blooms!
Little bunnies wanted you to see them just one more time.
On the other side of my broken bunny vase is this little guy. I've seen him all over blogland! I've had him for quite a few years.
How do I know he's a he? He told me so.
More Milk Glass newness! I found this banana holder - it's so pretty and again just the right piece to poke some blooms into. What's that? I see someone peeping out.
Oh, another little bunny is hiding in the flowers and I think she is actually snacking on them! I'll have to deal with that.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my mantel all ready for Easter and Spring.

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                         Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Tiptoe Through the Tulips

Tiptoe through the window
By the window, that is where I'll be
Come tiptoe through the tulips with me
Oh, tiptoe from the garden
By the garden of the willow tree
And tiptoe through the tulips with me
Knee deep in flowers we'll stray
We'll keep the showers away
And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight
Will you pardon me?
And tiptoe through the tulips with me
Maybe it's flowers you stray will be the showers of life
And when I kiss you in the garden in the moonlight
Will you pardon me and tiptoe through the tulips with me?

Easter Coffee Table

Hello, Dear Ones! I'm a little behind with my Easter decorating as I've been sewing making dolls and then Mr. Precious and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary. So I thought I'd start in my living room and show you my coffee table set up for Easter.

A little pastely and girly but Mr. Precious doesn't mind. Oh, and everything looks better sitting on a doily. That's my opinion.
I recently found this beautiful fluted edge Milk Glass cake stand and knew it would be perfect for something with my Easter decor so here it is!
Here you can see the delicate edge. I'm just in love with it.
I poked bunches of sweet spring blooms on it and two of my little bunnies hopped right down in the center. Look at those cute little mischievous faces.
I found this darling girl at Kirklands last week and she jumped into my cart. Isn't it funny how those things just happen?
She is so pretty with her big lovely eyes and flowers on her little head.
Now this pink glass bunny covered dish is pretty old and unfortunately I broke her little ear in two places! I was upset but tried to mend her with some E600. It worked pretty good but you can see the broken line at the base of her ear. That's okay, we all have scares. I gave her some flowers so she wouldn't feel left out.
I added a sprinkling of Easter postcards on my doily just to fill in some space and one postcard to remind us that Easter is just not about the bunnies, cute as they are, but about our risen Savior Jesus!

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my little vignette on my coffee table. I think I need some candy now!

I'm joining the party Inspire Me Tuesday

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                                  Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

He Lives

I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him He's always near
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
In all the world around me I see His loving care
And though my heart grows weary I never will despair
I know that He is leading, through all the stormy blast
The day of His appearing will come at last
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ, the King
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find
None other is so loving, so good and kind
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
