Living Room Mantelfestation

Hell, Dear Ones! Today I'm going to share my living room mantel with you. Mantelfestation! That's my word for it.

First of all I want to apologize for the pitiful little bow on the wreath hanging on the mirror. I needed a wire ribbon but didn't have one and proceeded to make a bow anyway and well, you can see it is surely pitiful! I will take it off. I just didn't want to crawl back up on my ladder. Am I forgiven? Good and thank you.
Please! Don't look at that bow. I'm so embarrassed! You promised!
In the center of my mantel I put my little old clock up on top of a little wooden chest that I had bought my little mother. When I was a little girl she had a cedar chest just like that little one. She just loved it. I think some folks call these blanket chests. It was made from cedar and you could smell the nice scent when you lifted up the lid. I got a little sidetracked...then I added a couple of Staffies. They are so happy to hold a basket of flowers to help with the mantelfestation.
I poked a topiary on each side. I found these urns at Garden Ridge, now called At Home, probably over twenty years ago. I made the little faux greens to go around the topiary balls. I've used these so many times but still like them. I know they are sitting in front of my bottom pictures, it's okay.
Well, there you have it my mantel all mantelfestationed up! Please, again don't look at that bow! Why didn't I take it off before I took these pictures? I don't know! Feel sorry for me.
There you have it. I don't think it's half bad but I get 50% counted off because of that dumb bow!

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                        Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Oops, I Did It Again

 Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I think I did it again
I made you believe we're more than just friends
Oh baby
It might seem like a crush
But it doesn't mean that I'm serious
'Cause to lose all my senses
That is just so typically me
Oh baby, baby
Oops, I did it again
I played with your heart, got lost in the game
Oh baby, baby
Oops, you think I'm in love
That I'm sent from above
I'm not that innocent
You see my problem is this
I'm dreaming away
Wishing that heroes, they truly exist
I cry, watching the days
Can't you see I'm a fool in so many ways
But to lose all my senses
That is just so typically me
Oh baby, oh
Oops, I did it again
I played with your heart, got lost in the game
Oh baby, baby
Oops, you think I'm in love
That I'm sent from above
I'm not that innocent
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
All aboard
Britney, before you go, there's something I want you to have
Oh, it's beautiful, but wait a minute, isn't this?
Yeah, yes it is
But I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end
Well baby, I went down and got it for you
Aww, you shouldn't have
Oops, I did it again to your heart
Got lost in this game, oh baby
Oops, you think that I'm sent from above
I'm not that innocent
Oops, I did it again
I played with your heart, got lost in the game
Oh baby, baby
Oops, you think I'm in love
That I'm sent from above
I'm not that innocent
Oops, I did it again
I played with your heart, got lost in the game
Oh baby, baby
Oops, you think I'm in love
That I'm sent from above
I'm not that innocent
