Christmasing On My Piano

Hello, Dear Ones. I just couldn't leave my piano out from getting all Christmased up so I went to town decorating my lovely piano. Hope you like what I've done.

When we bought this house, although it's a little smaller than I would like, this area sold me because it would be a perfect place for my baby grand piano!

Okie dokie, on with the Christmasing. For some reason I just love that floral arrangement you see on my piano. It's there every single day all 365 days of the year. I made it many many many years ago when we lived in Galveston, Texas, took it to upstate New York and then back down to southern Texas again.

I was wondering what to do here and I had a bright idea! I downloaded and printed out some pretty vintage looking Christmas music, rolled them up and tied them with a red ribbon. I grabbed my rose bowl and put a few pieces of the sheet music in there and laid a couple down on my old lace table cloth. That table cloth belonged to my grandmother who passed away when I was three years old. I barely remember her but I cherish this piece of lace.
Guarding my sheet music is a couple of glass angel candle sticks. I put this one up on a little pedestal.
Well, the sun has gone down and now the stars are out. You can see I poked down a few little fairy lights. Now they were supposed to be white but they look like they are blue!
One more thing...this is not my piano as you can see but this is the little table that sits at the end of my piano.
I just poked down a Christmas pick and those dogs! Another pair of my Staffies are always here. They are very musical and really do appreciate my music. These Staffies look so dignified don't you think?

Be a bunch of sweeties,                                                                                                                         Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Christmas Time Is Here

Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of year
Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share
Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there
Christmas time is here
families drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
sleigh bells in the air
beauty everywhere
yuletide by the fireside
and joyful memories there
Christmas time is here families drawing near
oh that we could always see
such spirit in the year

  4. This is such a beautiful space, Sheila! I love your floral arrangements and all the sheet music rolls too. They're fabulous. We just attended our nephews' piano recital last night and even though they're 6 and 10 I'm amazed they read music and play as well as they do. It was so much fun to cheer them on and sing along with all the pieces they've been practicing to make the holidays special. Wishing you and your family a merry and bright season ahead, CoCo
