Hello, Dear Ones! I'm so excited as I've started to decorate my home for Fall! Yay!
Isn't my new wreath lovely? Well, I looked at it really closely and saw roses! Roses for Fall and they were soft colors! So I started grabbing bunches of roses to decorate my mantel. I was on a roll!
I wanted to place a pun'kin in the center of my mantel but all of my bigger pun'kins were that styrofoam stuff and then a lightbulb came on! Paint it! I grabbed a little jar of a creamy colored chalk paint and went to town and the result was that pun'kin you see above!
I grabbed some garlands and placed them down. I even used a green summery one and poked my fall ones on top! I'm so talented like that you know! :)
I cut the roses off of the bushes and started poking them into the garland along with some little white pun'kins.
It was beginning to look so pretty!
Take a closer look...
I poked in some leaves and picks and wait, do you see it? Yep, a doggy! I collect Staffordshire dogs and just couldn't resist poking in a few. The colors blend in well, don't you think?
Look! There's another doggy!
I let the garlands cascade a little over the edge of the mantel.
And there you have it - my softer side of Fall on my mantel!
I try to change up my mantel each year and I'm really liking my mantel a little on the softer side and I hope you do too!
I'm joining Linda for her Love Your Creativity Link Party
As always, be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
A Whiter Shade of Pale
We skipped the light fandango
Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
But the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
As the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
The waiter brought a tray
Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kinda seasick
But the crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
As the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
The waiter brought a tray
And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale
~ sung by Procol Harum
