Falling Up my Breakfast Room Hutch

Hello, Dear Ones! Come on into my little breakfast room and let me show you what I've done to Fall up my little hutch! Okay, in my breakfast room my dish cabinet is called a 'hutch' and in my dining room I called my dish cabinet a 'china cabinet'. Just because I want you to know! :)

My breakfast room is rather small and I've done my best to poke all of the furniture I can in here.
Here sits my little hutch! I just love her. I've had her many years and gave her a paint job many years ago also - a very soft light green with green glass knobs! The colors in my kitchen do not include 'green' but this color is so light and soft that it actually acts as a neutral. Oh, one more thing - there is a window behind my hutch, you can see just a tad above the left top of my little hutch. I needed this space for my hutch so I just put up a white cotton curtain on spring rods inside the window and I had my solid wall. No one would even know there was a piece of furniture sitting in front of the window from the outside.
Here's the very top and it's all Falled up! That little trio of Roosters stay up here. I love them and bought them many years ago in Rome, Italy! They don't speak Italian any more though.
I guess you can tell that I love yard birds - especially Roosters and have quite a few. I placed in some sweet little vintage Rooster plates in here. They are rather small so I placed a larger green plate behind them so they wouldn't get lost here. Don't look too closely because the green plates have rabbits on them! Since it's Fall, this was the perfect time to bring out my amber glass Rooster and chick.
Let's focus on this main shelf. See those darling little pieces with the little Dutch looking couple on them? I found most of these when we lived in upstate New York. There were quite a few communities there where the Dutch had settled and in my mind I always wondered if these had belonged to some little Dutch family.
Focusing on some of the pieces - dishes, owls, pun'kins and leaves! It's Fall Y'all!
Here you can see the little "Dutch" pieces a little closer.
The little bread bowl has a picture of a Rooster on each end, I can't think what the pattern is called.

There's my little Fall breakfast room hutch - just for you!

I'm joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Inspire Me Tuesday

As always, be a sweetie,                                                                                                                        Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Harvest Moon

Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away
But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon
When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart
But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon

  4. Shelia, I love how you have painted and staged your darling little hutch. Putting the green dishes behind the smaller ones really make them stand out against the back of the cupboard. I have the same little pitcher with yellow trim and chicken on it along with the s/p shakers and a few more pieces that were given to me from my grandmother. I remember as a little girl seeing them in her kitchen and she knew that I liked them..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
