Hello, Dear Ones!
I thought I would share with you a dinner party Mr. Precious and I had the other night. I didn't set the table in Fallness because it has been just a little too hot for me so I set the table to look happy and cool.
I threw down the table runner that I made years ago and set my dough bowl on top. It's always nice to have candle light at dinner so I grabbed my battery operated candles and flipped the switch. It's always nice to have flowers too so I put in some summery looking ones. Am I crazy?
Now I just love the Pioneer Woman's dishes and these just make me smile as they are just so cheery and cute. So there you go - Pioneer Woman dishes! I had some dark blue glasses on pedestals and I thought they would do just fine.
My china cabinet is very old. I've had it since the late 1970s but I love it. The lights inside have just bitten the dust and I was sad as there was no way I could light up my shelves when someone came over. I had a brilliant idea - fairy lights! Yes ma'am, little fairy lights that I laid on the bottom of the shelves and I could turn them on when I wanted to. I really liked the look so these little lights will stay. The dishes on display as called Mildred. They are old too and I have a slew of them and love them to pieces. My Mildred certainly deserved some special lighting.
I didn't get a picture of the food but I made Mexican and served it buffet style in the kitchen and everyone seemed to like it so I was very pleased.
I'm happy to be joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
